Ana (bff) has been posting her golden milk on Instagram since the weather started to get cold. So I asked her to make some for my blog. And we met yesterday, I picked some leaves on my way for decoration and prepared it. What is the golden turmeric milk all about? It’s so freaking healthy! It’s made from plant based milk, spices and a bit of honey. Perfect combination for your immun sistem. You want it strong as possible this winter, right?


For 2 people; Very simple; 5 minutes


Ingredients

4 dl plant based milk (Ana recommends rice or almond milk)
1 teaspoon of grated ginger
1 teaspoon of grated turmeric
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric in powder
1 cinnamon stick
4 cardamom pods
Pinch of pepper
Pinch of Cayenne pepper
Honey to your flavour (maple syrup for vegan version)

Instructions
  1. Place all the ingredients expect the honey in a small pot and cook till the boiling point. Then put the heat to minimum and let boil for around 5 minutes.
  2. Stran and pour in cups. Sprinkle with cinnamon and add honey.

Wise-ass corner

Since Ana likes the foam (let’s face it, who doesn’t) she uses a following trick. She blends around a half deciliter of golden mink with 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil. Then she pours the mixtures in cups and the golden milk just reached its perfection.
