Porridge is a perfect breakfast on rainy days. Today’s is with orange aroma. Mmm.

For 1 or 2 people; Very easy; 15 minutes


100 g oats (cca. 12 tablespoons)
250 ml water
1 pinch salt
2 tablespoons of cocoa
1 dl vegetable milk
2 tablespoons of grated orange zest
2 tablespoons of honey (or maple syrup for vegan version)

  1. Start heating the oats, water, salt and cocoa in a smaller pot. When it gets thick add milk and stir well.
  2. Cook for around 2 minutes or until the porridge is nicely thick. If it’s too thick add some milk.
  3. Set aside and mix honey and orange zest into it. Serve immediately.

Wise-ass corner

You can also sprinkle nuts or dried seeds on top of it. Orange juice fits well also.
