If you’ve been reading my blog for a while than you know I’m really a fan of wholesome fresh food with as little of processed food as possible. But sometimes I like to have a treat 🙂

But at least I try to prepare food like that at home. So I prepared this sweet and sour chicken that is fried and then marinated in sweet and sour sauce. But it doesn’t include MSG and artificial colours. So it was good and very delicious middle way 🙂

For 2-4 people; Very easy; 30  minutes

Ingredients

350 g chicken or tofu
A few tablespoons of white flour
Oil for frying
1 packet of this spice mix
2 dl pineapple juice from the can
1 bell pepper (you can use 2 halves of different colours)
200 g of pineapple from a can or fresh one

Serve with : Rice

Instructions 1. Roll small pieces of chicken or tofu in flour and then fry in hot oil until it looks nicely golden. Put on a paper towel and set aside.  2. Add pineapple and spice mix in a pan. Mix well so the spice mix dissolves and cook for few minutes. Add bell pepper cut to squares and cubbed pineapple. Cook for around 5 minutes then add the fried meat/tofu. Let it cook for 5 minutes more. 3. Serve immediately.

You can also add some roasted sesame on the dish.
