Tamarind is an interesting fruit with sour-sweet taste. It grows mostly in tropical places but you can buy it in fresh form or as a paste in Asian markets.  

Why makes it so interesting? It adds great acidity to dishes – that’s a first plus. Where you can use tamarind? You can check my tamarind salad dressing recipe that will elevate your salads through the roof. And secondly it has a lot of health benefits. It’s works in favour of digestion and is also inflammatory. It lowers fewer and some says it helps preventing the appetite. It has a lot of vitamin C and E as well as B vitamins, calcium, iron,…  

I add it mostly to sauces, soups and smoothies. In next few days there will be two new recipes with it so stay tuned 🙂
