First of all – they are super cheap. Go ahead and compare the price of flax seeds with nuts and you are going to see the difference.

Second of all they are tiny seeds of health. They have good influence or our digestion, they decrease sugar cravings, balance the hormones, lower the cholesterol, help the skin to remain clean,…

…they have a lot of omega-3 fatty acids, fibres, proteins, vitamin B1, magnesium, iron,…

I think the reasons above are good enough to make you run to the store in this moment and have flax seeds always somewhere in your pantry. They are really good when you are preparing smoothies, porridge, as a topping on salads, you can make bread out of them,… Just keep in mind not to eat whole flax seeds. You can’t digest it and you won’t get much benefits from it. It’s best if you grind it yourself or you can buy it ground. I put whole flax seeds in smoothies and they get blended in the process. If you want to eat them in even healthier version you can sprout them. I wrote about this here.

Baby, this one is a keeper

On my mission to reduce food waste, I used some over-ripped bananas that were laying around and made this scrumptious & good for ya belly Banana Bread
